Chalkboard Spice Jars
In the days before Tattooed Martha, my cooking style was.. A handful of that, a dash of this, and needs a few more pinches of that! I doubt my readers would appreciate my recipes written in that manner, so now I have to be very precise. One thing I always find to be a pain in the ass, is the fact they make spice jars so small! I can’t ever get a measuring spoon in and I end up dumping half of the spice on the counter if I try to shake it out instead. Small canning jars and buying spices in bulk are definitely the way to go! Keep them organized and labeled by turning the tops into mini-chalkboards!

Supplies:
Small canning jars with lids (found at most craft stores, grocery stores, or even Goodwill)
Chalkboard paint
Foam paint brush
Paint a thin layer of chalkboard paint on top of each of the lids. Let dry for 45 minutes to an hour.
If necessary, paint on a second coat. Let them completely dry before writing on them with chalk. Fill the jars up with your spices, put the lids on, and label! The great part about these is that you can always change out the contents and the label!

You can typically find them at most grocery or craft stores! If you’re not having any luck there I would just order through Amazon. I hope this helps!
